Biopharmaceutical company Diatos SA, a maker of anticancer drugs, announced Tuesday it has raised €9.4 million ($12.8 million) in a Series D funding round. Existing investors, including GIMV and Biotech Fund Flanders, both of Belgium; Credit Agricole Private Equity, Sofinnova Partners and Innoven Partenaires, all of France; and InterWest Partners of the U.S., led the round. Other participating investors included AGF Private Equity and SGAM, both of France; NIF SMBC of Japan; and Sopartec of Belgium. The company has raised €54.8 million since its launch in 1999. Diatos said it will use the new funding to further develop its clinical products. —Cheryl Meyer
