Sevin Rosen Funds held its 25th anniversary party at the Four Seasons in Palo Alto Thursday evening. At each corner of the elegant rectangular room were generous buffet tables serving sushi, beef, lamb and chocolate. Two facing walls were covered by big screens that displayed goofy pictures of founders Ben Rosen and L.J. Sevin from the 1970s. The film loop then went on to detail some of the firm's biggest hits from Compaq to Ciena. In the middle of the room were display cases containing remnants from some of the firm's early portfolio companies such as Electronic Arts and Lotus. Eventually, general partner Nick Sturiale came on to toast the firm's co-investors, limited partners and other supporters, (including the press). Listen to my interview with Sevin Rosen general partner Jackie Kimzey below. — Joshua Jaffe
