Dopplr, which allows people to share their travel schedules within a social network raised an undisclosed amount from angel investors Martin Varsavsky, Joichi Ito, Reid Hoffman and The Accelerator Group led by Saul Klein. The investors, who previously formed companies such as LinkedIn and FON, are Dopplr users who realize the value of helping people coordinate meetings and visits with people when they're attending conferences or are on the road. Tech Confidential wrote about Dopplr and other social travel sites and decided that while Dopplr will likely get swallowed by a larger Internet company, the service is genuinely useful, unlike some of the Web 2.0 startups twittering about out there. — Stacey Higginbotham
