img_SarahReed.jpgVenture attorney Sarah Reed, 43, is joining Lowenstein Sandler PC as a partner in its technology group, marking the opening of the law firm's Boston office. Formerly general counsel of Charles River Ventures, Reed has worked closely with Lowenstein, which has represented the VC firm on many deals, including investing in Live Gamer Inc.'s $20 million Series B round last month.

Edward Zimmerman, chairman of Lowenstein's tech group, credits Reed with changing "the way venture deals are made across the country," thanks to her work on standardizing the legal documents used in venture deals through her role as the founder and chair of the National Venture Capital Association's model legal documents project.

As an undergraduate, Reed majored in East Asian Studies at Harvard College and is fluent in Mandarin. She  graduated from Harvard Law School and is a trustee of the Harvard-Yenching Institute. - Mary Kathleen Flynn
