WooMelogo.jpgWoo Media Inc., which operates WooMe.com, the Web cam introduction site used for screening everyone from a romantic partner to a prospective employee, has raised a $3 million bridge round led by Mangrove Capital Partners (the first institutional investor in Skype Technologies SA).  The bridge round follows a $1.9 million Series A last April, which was led by Atomico Investment Holdings Ltd. (the investment firm of Skype co-founders Niklas Zennstrom and Janus Friis) and which included Mangrove. Since Tech Confidential spoke with co-founder and CEO Stephen Stokols when the site launched officially in November, WooMe has facilitated more than 250,0000 introductions in 20 countries, according to the company. - Mary Kathleen Flynn

From: Cindy,

I found WooMee to be different from others I have tried. I like it’s design and features. With 3 million to boot should be a big success. Wish I thought of it. Great site
