On the last day of his vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Jakob Lodwick -- the edgy and often irreverent founder of CollegeHumor.com and Vimeo Inc. (both backed by IAC/InterActiveCorp) and an angel investor in Tumblr Inc. -- is updating his blog and answering questions from reporters over e-mail.

A lot has happened while he's been away. In recent weeks, Lodwick has been the subject of a blog-troversy over everything from his departure from Vimeo to his plans for a new venture to his mental health, attitude toward homeless people and love life. Sorry Irene Cara, fame's a bitch.
 

Lodwick remains fairly mum on his new gig, but offers a few details. "I can give you a couple details, but right now I'm keeping it mostly under wraps," he tells Tech Confidential. "I am starting a brand new business. The focus of the business is music. I will own 100% of the company and fund it myself." 

Apparently he's had enough of basking in Barry Diller's limelight and is looking forward to going solo. On his blog, Lodwick says the only programmer he can afford to hire is himself.  - Mary Kathleen Flynn
