robert_kalin.jpg"No, Martha isn't buying Etsy," insists Etsy Inc. founder Rob Kalin about Vallewag's report that Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc. is eyeing the online handmade goods seller for acquisition. "Nice rumor, though!" comments Kalin on an Etsy forum.

"We did meet up to talk about ways to work together, but even that was just a preliminary chat. She made some great cupcakes." Kalin appears in a video segment with Stewart here and with me on Behind The Money here.

Tech Confidential readers will recall that Etsy got $27 million from Accel Partners, Union Square Ventures and others in January. - Mary Kathleen Flynn
