iMany seeks an Edge

Contract management software maker iMany Inc. [IMNY] on Friday said it was in talks to acquire Edge Dynamics Inc., a provider of demand management software for the pharmaceutical industry. IMany said the acquisition was still subject to negotiations and approval from both companies.

IMany did not disclose a potential price it would pay for Edge Dynamics. Edge raised $21 million in two rounds of financing, the last for $12 million in 2005. Among its investors are Foundation Capital, Greylock Partners, EMC Corp. [EMC] and Silicon Valley Bank Capital. - David Shabelman
