Seesmic co-founder and CEO Löic Le Meur will test the video blogging startup's planned mobile service in February at the annual World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, according to BeetTV's Andy Plesser (Disclosure: Plesser provides public relations services to The Deal LLC.)

Le Meur will live-stream from the event using a Seesmic-powered mobile device, which, as the following video makes clear, should provide some interesting fodder for conversation with other Davos attendees.

Le Meur: President Mandela, big fan. Check out this stuffed raccoon on my head.
Mandela: Most interesting.
Le Meur: Hey, how about a quick video post for the Seesmic community? Just look into my iPhone.
Mandela: Well, I'm having lattes with Kissinger and Lohan at Starbucks in a few....
Le Meur:  Sans souci. Maybe catch you later on the toboggan ride. [gazing into the crowd] Hey, Barack, huge fan!

Actually, it's a clever PR two-fer. An insider's rough-cut look at Davos and its glitterati, and a world stage from which to promote Seesmic, which is scheduled to launch in March. - Alain Sherter
