If a conference hosted last week by August Capital general partner David Hornik (pictured at left below) to discuss the future of media is any indication, there will be a lot more "off the record" interviews in the future. That's because terms of attending the three-day gathering in Hawaii were that attendees couldn't share what was discussed there.
But, you can't keep a bunch of media savvy investors and entrepreneurs completely quiet. Valleywag tracked down photos of venture capital attendees such as Greylock's David Sze SoftTech's Jeff Clavier, Foundation Capital's Mike Brown, Panorama Capital's Mike Jung, Bay Partner's Eric Chin and First Round Capital's Josh Kopelman. Entrepreneur Chase Norlin (pictured at right below) reported that much of the discussion centered on how best to create community and how the dynamics between advertising and content creation are changing.
