Israel's high-tech scene is best known for security and communications startups. But, the country's technology base is deeper than that. Fifteen of Israel's most promising consumer Internet companies are displaying their wares on the Microsoft campus in Mountain View this Wednesday from 8am to 2pm. They are 5min, Plymedia, AllofMe, Nuconomy, ClickTale, blogTV, Sportingo, PicScout, Qoof, 8hands, Velingo, Innovid, Semingo PageOnce and Journeys.

The only startup that will be there that I've seen before is Semingo, which is developing the Delver social search engine. I saw the service at Demo last week and was thoroughly impressed, ranking it eighth out of 72 startups showing there. Hopefully, there will be other promising companies tomorrow. You can register here to attend. - Joshua Jaffe
