European dealmakers are returning home after attending a three-day conference in Zaragoza that considered how the Continent's innovation ecosystem can be strengthened. I was there to moderate a panel last year and it was a good place to learn about new startups and get a better sense of how the European venture capital scene is developing. This year, well-funded startups such as AllPeers and Weeworld and venture capitalists from Accel Partners and Mangrove Capital were in attendance to share their views about what it takes to build a European technology powerhouse.
