He gets a lot of attention from other bloggers. Rodrigo Sepulveda Schulz, a venture capitalist and entrepreneur in France, said his company, vpod.tv, has raised $5.1 million in a first round of funding from Innovacom. Vpod.tv is an online video editing, sharing and monetization tool targeting a crowded, but growing market.
I'd like to think that I had a trivial role in the origins of vpod.tv. I met Rodrigo last June at a conference in Spain. I was working in the press office when he came up to me with his camera phone and shot a quick video that he uploaded to Daily Motion. I believe it was the first video blog Rodrigo had taken at the time. Now, he is building a business around video blogging.
